Our Story

Tremont 647

Tremont 647, a 60-seat neighborhood bistro style restaurant & bar in the heart of Boston's South End, features chef/owner Andy Husbands' adventurous American cuisine, with inventive global influences.  For nearly 20 years, Chef Husbands has been creating dishes that focus on big flavors in an unpretentious, lively environment.  In addition to a menu that changes with the seasons, Tremont 647's Pajama Brunch (Saturday/Sunday), Taco Tuesday, and monthly themed events, have made it a much-loved spot in Boston's culinary landscape.  Oh, and Tremont 647 is a great spot for the family with our new Kid's Menu!

Sister Sorel

Sister Sorel the very cool and hip younger sister to Tremont 647 has a more casual and artful vibe. Located in the adjoining room to Tremont 647 it has seven tables for 2, 10 seats at its beautiful serpentine multi-colored onyx bar, and boasts a cozy elegant private dining room, which seats up to 12 people. Sister Sorel is the perfect place for small private functions from cocktail receptions to baby showers.

Tremont 647 and Sister Sorrel also feature outdoor seating on our patio, from April 1st - October 31st.

  • Ate there twice on a recent visit to Boston - it was that good! The wait staff are extremely friendly and the food is very imaginative - tried the lamb tenderloin with a corn and feta salad - yum! Brunch on Sunday is fun - waiters in pj's - try their take on eggs benedict - the best I've ever had. Great cocktails as well.

  • Now one of my top 3 go-to recommended brunch spots in Boston, I will definitely be back for dinner soon!

  • My wife and I had a truly delicious meal there the other night. We out very regularly and this was one of the more memorable meals we've had recently. The food was just simply delicious, bursting with flavor, creative and surprisingly affordable. Its a very cozy atmosphere, the outdoor seating is wonderful and the staff couldn't have been nicer. We recommend it highly and will be back soon.

  • This restaurant is wonderful. The Chef is very accomodating and the staff equally so. I brought a large party on a Friday night and everyone enjoyed the food and ambience. Will definitely be returning.

The Fearless Chef, p98 With a restaurant called Sister Sorel (named, surprisingly, after Andy’s sister Sorel),  when writing his first cookbook, he knew he had to have a sorrel soup on the menu, especially since he loves the bright, lemony taste of this green almost as much as he loves his sis. Look for it …
